HOW SECURE ARE ALUMINIUM WINDOWS & DOORS?

Aluminium is both strong and lightweight, with an excellent strength-to-weight ratio that makes it ideal for home security. Stronger than uPVC, it is a reliable and cost-effective solution in the long run. Our aluminium double glazing comes with PAS 24 approved multipoint locking to keep you and your property safe. On many of our doors, we can also offer our Endurance £2000 guarantee for compensation in the event of a break in.

INTERNALLY BEADED

Our aluminium windows are internally beaded as standard. There is little to no risk of glazing being pried open from the outside by an intruder with internal beading. The pane is set firmly and safely in place from the inside of your home for extra security.

TOUGHENED GLAZING

It’s harder for intruders to break in with toughened double glazing. Toughened glass not only provides extra security from break ins, but also acts as a measure of protection against the event of a slip or fall. Our glass is designed to shatter safely and offer maximum strength.

DURABLE FRAMES

Aluminium frames are solid and are unlikely to crack or break if hit with force. It’s also a highly stable metal and does not contract or warp as other materials like uPVC or timber can under different temperatures.

BRITISH STANDARDS

British made, our products have achieved PAS 24 accreditation, meeting British standards and delivering leading standards of security for your home.

Certified Security Standards

Certified Security Standards

Document Q, a government led building regulation, was introduced to maintain security standards throughout the industry. Our aluminium stock meets Part Q and PAS 24 requirements.

With our Part Q-compliant windows and doors, you can be assured that your product meets, and in many cases exceeds, the legal requirements for security.

HAVE CONFIDENCE IN YOUR HOME

MULTIPOINT LOCKS

Multipoint locks, as the name suggests, extend across several points of the window or door, often covering the full height. This provides a tighter seal and strengthens your home’s security. Our aluminium windows and doors come with easy to operate hardware to activate multipoint locking, which you can learn more about here.

ALUMINUM VS. PVC WINDOWS AND DOORS

If there is any debate about whether aluminium or uPVC is a better material for windows or doors, we’d advise that aluminium is stronger, more durable, and an ideal choice for modern homes. Compare the difference in aesthetics below.
